POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN MOLECULAR ONCOLOGY 

We are currently looking for a highly motivated candidate to join the Group of Molecular Oncology at Vall d’Hebron Hospital, Barcelona, Spain (see http://nanomedicine.cibbim.net/ and www.ir.vhebron.net). The successful candidate will join a translational research line aimed at the identification of new biomarkers capable of predicting response to chemotherapy in colorectal cancer patients. The project will involve the use of high throughput approaches to screen for new molecular biomarkers using in vitro systems, animal models and large tumor collections. The candidate will be expected to join the group in January 2010.  

THE CANDIDATE SHOULD: - Have a doctoral degree in molecular biology or related fields.- At least one year of postdoctoral experience is preferred. - Good publication record in the field of Molecular Oncology.- Experience analyzing data resulting from high throughput assays is greatly desirable. - Foreign experience in leading institution in this field is desirable.  

WE OFFER:  - Postdoctoral position for two years that could be further extended. - 25.000 Euros per year.- Stimulating research environment.

Postdoctoral position at the Drug Delivery and Targeting Research Group (Ref.-120509) A full-time postdoctoral position is offered for a taleted senior scientist with a strong background in cancer research and an excellent track record of publications. At least three years of postdoctoral training is required. Previous experience in animal manipulation (rodents) and deep knowledge in molecular biology techniques and protein/ transduction pathway analysis is highly desirable. The successful candidate will work into several research lines centered in human cancer biology. An attractive work package is offered with a starting salary up to 30K euros/year plus benefits, including insurance coverage. The candidate is expected to contribute with his/her own ideas to new research lines and proposals. A 3 years Postdoctoral Position is offered within the Materno-Fetal Medicine Research Group. We offer a 3 years post-doc position. Candidate will work on Materno-Fetal medicine research within the RTICS project related to: a) Preeclampsy and intrauterine growing restriction: New markers on the first three months of pregnancy; b) Role of angiogenic factors on fetal hart development: congenital cardiopathies and “fetal programming”. A graduate or technician in the field of bioscience is required for a full-time position within the “In vivo Experimentation Platform” of the CIBERBBN, at CIBBIM-Nanomedicine (Vall d’Hebron University Hospital) in Barcelona. The candidate will give support to the molecular imaging facility of the Institut de Recerca del Valle Hebrón and will be responsible for the for the collection and processing of histologic samples of animal tissues. He/she will also be in charge of the basic animal handling within the platform. Financing of the position will be subject to the granting by the MICINN’s call on “Auda para la contratación del Personal Técnico y de Apoyo”. A contract for work and service, with a competitive salary in accordance with MICINN’s conditions (see BOE, 5th of January 2009) is offered. The candidate will receive training in the use of the IVIS200 in vivo optical imaging system and he/she will join a dynamic research group, with multiple projects directed towards the development and application of nanomedicine. Candidates must have the appropriate certificate for manipulation of laboratory animals and good English communication skills. Previous experience in the use of a variety of murine animal models, and specially in the histological processing of tissues will also be extremely beneficial. A technician position is open in the field of biomaterials and their biological effects on human cells. Candidates will have to provide strong expertise in cell culture and ELISA related techniques. Knowledge and previous working experience with biomaterials is highly desirable. A full-time contract with health insurance benefits is offered with a gross salary of 16,800 euros per year.
